Hermes H:E:M Mangialardo is a Cartoonist, visual light artist and 3D videomapper. He combines the production of animations and short films (awarded in many festivals around the world) with his activity as a visual artist and 3D mapper, creating Architectural mapping around Europe, winning among others the Berlin festival of Light, the Spotlight of Bucharest, the first prize at the Pescara Mapping, the audience award at the Zsolnay Videomapping contest in Hungary.
His videomappings have illuminated some of the most important buildings around Europe (such as the Colosseum, the Royal Palace of Caserta, the Pecs Cathedral or the 360 ​​degree work on the Fountain of the Four Rivers in Rome).
In 2021 and 2023 he created 2 shorts film against women’s and children abuse with Pope Francis, and many light and museum installations, including DIVINE STANZE, dedicated to the Divine Comedy.
His 2024 lightart work “Oculuscis” has been showed in Essen Light Festival (Germany – October 2024), GlowFest (Nederlands – November 2024), Alberobello Light Festival (Italy – December 2024) and Logford Lights Festival (Ireland – February 2025).

Cartoonist, videomaker, Visual artist, 3D mapper, Hermes Mangialardo dal 2003 si occupa di tutto ciò che ruota intorno all’animazione digitale. I suoi corti e music video sono stati premiati nei maggiori festivals nazionali e internazionali (dai nastri d’argento al 100″film festival aTeheran sino all’MTV flash award ad Amburgo). Dal 2006, insieme ad uno staff di designer, ha creato Plasmedia ( www.plasmedia.it ), un’agenzia specializzata nella comunicazione digitale in generale.
Nel 2008 crea per MTV la serie URBAN JUNGLE, una delle prime webserie in animazione, e che diventa subito un cult on line e off line. Nel 2009 vince il titolo best Italian VJ. Nel 2015 firma lo spot per la raccolta fondi a favore del CIR (consiglio Italiano Rifugiati) andato in onda su Rai, Mediaset e LA7.
Dal 2012 illumina con la tecnica del videomapping chiese e palazzi in giro per l’Europa, ed è premiato al Berlin festival of Light, allo Zsolnay Fest di Pecs, Il Pescara Map, lo Spotlight Fest di Bucharest, ecc.
Nel 2020 crea le animazioni per il video del Pontefice contro gli abusi sulle donne.
