First Award at Sarno Film Festival

Hermes Mangialardo short ONE DAY IN JULY Won 1st award at Sarno Film Festival
Theme of the competition of short films is Article 11 of the Italian Constitution: “Italy rejects war as an instrument of aggression against the freedom of other peoples and as a means of settling international disputes; It agrees, on conditions of equality with other states, to the limitations of sovereignty necessary for an order that ensures peace and justice among nations; It promotes and encourages international organizations having such ends. ” To mark the centenary of the 1st Great War, even the Sarno Film Festival focuses on the theme of the event of war. This year’s partner is the association Emergency.

The short films finalists are: I’m Festival by Alessio Perisano and Mario Vezza, Il posto dell’ultimo nido by Hassan Abolhassani, Il Signore è servito by Niccolò Piramidal, One day in July by Hermes Mangialardo and Sk – Sonderkommando by Nicola Ragone.

The shorts was judged by two juries, and together awarded ONE DAY IN JULY as Winner.
